Peggy Brannon was born in Panama City and graduated from Bay High School. After attending computer programming and data processing school in Jacksonville she began working with the Bay County Tax Collector's office in 1968 and was later promoted to supervisor of the tag and title department.

After 24 years of service Peggy was elected to the position of Tax Collector and is currently serving her fourth term. She holds certification as a "Certified Florida Collector" from F.S.U. and is certified by the Dept. of Motor Vehicles as a "Tax Collector Supervisor." She is a member of the Florida Tax Collector's Association and member of the Motor Vehicle Education Committee.

Peggy and Bob have been married for 36 years and have two children
